Center of Evaluation and Measurement
Measurement department tasks:
1. Collaborating with committees responsible for academic aptitude tests in designing and developing test questions.
2. Organizing and administering the necessary admission and placement tests at Kuwait University.
3. Updating and enhancing systems used and establishing standards for the software utilized in conducting electronic tests.
4. Preparing reports on the electronic programs and systems used in the department and assessing their effectiveness.
5. Utilizing modern information systems and software for the storage and maintenance of test banks.
6. Supervising the development, implementation, and administration of achievement and aptitude tests of various types using the latest technological tools.
7. Providing technical support to the university administration and test committees through analysis of results and offering suitable recommendations.
8. Organizing and administering international exams in collaboration with global institutions and organizations (such as ETS), including GRE, IBT-TOEFL, SAT, and others.
9. Monitoring and updating student test result databases in coordination with the Information Systems Center.
10. Assisting colleges in conducting and grading tests electronically.
11. Supervising the department’s lab and equipping it with modern technologies, including computers and an intranet network, as well as installing the necessary software for local and international exams administered by the testing units under the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Evaluation and Assessment.
12. Supporting evaluation and assessment processes and providing the necessary assistance for effective test implementation.
